My Inner Geekiness out in Full Force

It has happened my friends. After having to see my sister and father go to Harry Potter World in Orlando (without me) and then my mother and father go another time (again, without me) I have finally trumped them all by going to the behind the scenes WarnerBros studio tour of Harry Potter (muwahaha family)!! It was a dream come true, one of the reasons I picked London to study in (just kidding, but not really), and probably one of the geekiest moments of my life (no shame). Now, considering that my family will be coming across the pond in November to see me, along with going to the behind the scenes Harry Potter tour as one of our activities, i only have a limited amount of time to brag and rub it in their faces (no hard feelings about being left behind twice, I swear). So it was epic. From the moment I saw the building, pure excitement was running through my veins and added a little something to my step. There were people on our tour that had never read or watched the movies and all I could think was "how do you live?" They therefore could not really enjoy the whole experience (or truly geek out).

So let the pictures commence and try not to get too green with envy!

Almost peed in my pants when I saw this from the highway

These pictures are just the highlights from the day. More will be uploaded to Facebook.

The next day, Kesley, Adrienne,  Emily, and I headed on a tour bus to Stone Henge and the city of Bath. Since we were on a schedule, we only had a set amount of time to spend at Stone Henge before we had to get back on the bus. It being one of the most visited sites in the world,  I decided I not only had to get a picture with it, but a jumping picture as well ( the Utech sisters are known to do jumping photos). Well this idea caught on to the rest of the girls and before we knew it, we were all doing jumping shots! This took up most of our time at Stone Henge and then we had to book it back to the bus.
On the bus heading to Stone Henge!

New Concordia study abroad promotion picture? Fingers crossed!

We then arrived at Bath and it was gorgeous! Absolutely breathtaking when you're driving into the city since its situated at the bottom of hills. You therefore get to see the whole landscape of it and all of the different church steeples poking out in between houses. Once we arrived we got a tour of the ancient Roman Baths and then had free time to explore the city.
At Bath waiting to enter!

Bath!!

No, I did not go swimming, it's not allowed and the water was nasty looking as you can tell.

We ended up finding a little cafe that served traditional English cream tea. We had such a great time just talking a laughing and we were probably the loudest ones there (oh well).
Super yummy food!

All of us with our tea!

It was then time to get back on the bus and head home for school the next day.

So altogether it was a wonderfully packed weekend and surprise surprise,  I got sick again but this time with a fever and cough! Luckily the fever only lasted one night. The next adventure is........ Scotland!
Thanks for reading and hopefully I didn't make you too jealous over my Harry Potter adventure that you won't come back.

Your traveling fiend,
Claire
